Frequently Asked Questions

Am I making a commitment by attending “Journey in Faith”?

Not at all. Attending the group or meeting with Fr. Daniel is purely exploratory. You are free to ask questions, take your time, and decide if and when you feel ready to move forward.

What if I was already baptised in another Christian church?

The Catholic Church recognizes valid Christian baptisms (baptised with water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). You would not need to be re-baptised, but rather welcomed into Full Communion through Confirmation and the Eucharist.

What if I am already Catholic, but missed First Communion or Confirmation?

The “Journey in Faith” group is perfect for you too! Many adult Catholics use this path to complete their Sacraments of Initiation or refresh their understanding of the faith.

How long does the process take?

Because everyone’s journey is unique, there is no fixed clock. Typically, formal preparation runs through the autumn and winter months, culminating in receiving the Sacraments at the Easter Vigil.
